Neuchatel is focused on providing Mastic Asphalt for those with challenging
situations who need the market’s premium product.
It is particularly useful for roof-top carparks, podiums, green roofs and
important roofing areas. Situations which require the peace of mind that comes
from dealing with the definitive waterproofing system.
The Neuchatel system of waterproofing has operated successfully for many years
– the company first began waterproofing New Zealand buildings in 1905.
In 2007 Neuchatel was purchased from Works Infrastructure by
Nuralite Waterproofing Ltd. Nuralite has over 40 years of waterproofing
experience, primarily using bituminous membranes. The two businesses compliment
each other nicely and enable us to provide a tailored & packaged
waterproofing service utilizing two of the market leading systems.

THE PERMANITE MATERIAL
Neuchatel is proud to source its product from Permanite in the UK. Permanite Asphalt, a subsidiary of Ruberoid PLC is the
major U.K manufacturer of mastic asphalts, operating from two plants located at
Matlock and Salford.
Each plant operates under a Quality Assurance Scheme to BS EN ISO 9002, has
strict quality control procedures and a strong laboratory back up providing
testing facilities for both raw materials and manufactured asphalts to ensure
quality and uniformity.
The Permanite material is tried and tested and as such it is the benchmark upon
which any other material is measured.
